My name is Shenika and I’m a Brooklyn girl who loves to dress up. Ever since I can remember, clothes and my personal style were very important to me. I loved making statements with my sartorial choices and in high school a friend dubbed me “Fashenika,” (fashion + Shenika).
When I started college, I began thinking of starting my own personal style blog and was encouraged to do so by many of my peers. However, self doubt stopped this desire of mine for four years. College is now behind me, and so is the self doubt — so here we are. This blog will serve as my personal style journal and a place to create, share, and inspire. I’m an introvert and I sometimes get social anxiety, but fashion and style allow me to be a completely different person.
I’m currently in my last year of law school and my style has become much more refined these past few years. However, I still love taking chances! As I continue to grow and develop my style, I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and take a chance on yours.
