When I think about my personal style I am bombarded with images of pink, sequins, jewels, glitter, metallics, monochrome, and fluorescent colors. The natural question that follows is: how do I make this practical for everyday? And my response is: I don’t. These over-the-top images do not have to be tweaked in any way to make them wearable because it is my personal style. They each inspire me to truly express myself and be confident in the things I love.

I’m as far from a social butterfly as it gets, so these animated images that inspire my sartorial choice are what give me a bigger personality.

I consider my style to be a bit preppy, but more classic; vibrant; elegant; classic; girly, but sometimes tomboy; sophisticated; and sometimes edgy. Here are some pictures that inspire me:

I no longer wear jewelry, but I am IN LOVE with all things shiny. So to make this work, I buy a lot of pieces that have jewels on them. Some of my favorite pieces have jewels or rhinestones on them whether they are buttons ups, flats, or skirts. I don’t wear jewelry, but my clothes definitely do.

Luckily, my favorite stores have allowed me find clothes that cater to my personal style. Some of my favorite stores include:

J. Crew

J. Crew Factory

Zara

Kate Spade

Bloomgindales

Gap

Banana Republic

Express

Forever 21

Old Navy

I hope you get a better picture of my personal style; it’s evolving but these are the basics. I love seeing other people and how they express their personal style. We are all so different and creative; make your personal style, personal!
